Good evening, friends and welcome to the first installment of the Fireside chat. In these weekly blogs I will talk about subjects that does not concern strategy or tactics, rather the Fireside chat will concern itself with such topics as player of the week, updates from Chaotic game, and the occasional complaint or rant if I feel rather edgy today :P.
Today I though it may be nice to talk about the format on Chaotic Insider, discussing its general ideals and getting into some beefy layout explanations. Chaotic Insider is a fan made blog site devoted to the online card game know as Chaotic (which was released on the 24th of October, and is owned by 4Kids). This site aims to provide Chaotic fans with the newest, most outrageous, and the occasional unorthodox strategies and tactics in all of Perim. Each Saturday I publish a “Strategy session” post with new strategies coined by myself or submitted in by a member of this site. As time passes I plan to expand Chaotic Insider to cover more subjects and add new content.
As mentioned above, the meat of this site is a weekly post called the Strategy session. This post aims to educate fellow Chaotic-eers in various strategies or help to expand knowledge of the game, provide discussion points to the online game, and overall aid players of Chaotic. The layout of each Strategy session is split into many parts,
- Beginning with an opening paragraph explaining the strategy we will be discussing
- Then moving on to listing the cards that are required for this strategy to work
- Moving on to describing the actual strategy itself, walking you though the plan of the strategy and explaining any thing else needed to effectively implement it perfectly
- Afterwards I list the pros and cons of the strategy and compare its useful ness
- followed by a ranking system ranging from 1 to 10, 1 being a totally useless strategy that is fairly useless, with 10 being an all mighty strategy that will break the game (most likely I won’t be giving a lot of 10s…)
A blog is not a blog without its members I always say, so I highly encourage everyone to participate in any discussions or add any thoughts to a strategy if they find a way to optimize it further. Likewise submitting strategies (to Pocketkoi@hotmail.com) is fully welcome and very much encouraged!
That seems to be enough for today’s Fireside chat (I know boring eh? But this info should be printed; less mobs carry me away in night), tune in on Saturday for the next installment of Strategy session (this one in particular is very hot). Until then “have faith in the banks”, ciao
