Maxxor, the OverWorld leader and one of the strongest creatures in all of Perim, sporting two elements, great stats in both courage and wisdom, and the ability to heal, he is a great ally and a feared foe. One of the more… popular creatures in Chaotic, he is nonetheless potent in defeating his opponents.
The earth and fire element are a great pair, allowing Maxxor to deal max damage with Ash torrent and Lavalanche. His superior stats in courage and wisdom allow him to strike with the strongest telekinetic bolt, not to mention other cards such as Skeletal strike or Sleepsting. He sports two mugic counters which allows him a lot of flexability mugic wise, also his own ability to heal means that you don’t need to pack that extra resurgence, freeing up your mugic hand for more offensive cards. Overall, hes one of the (if not thee) best ultra rare card out there, a jack of all trades, excelling in elements, discipline, and mugic. His only true weakness is his somewhat low energy (roughly 60, as opposed to the UW’s ultras who generally have 70+ energy), though this is mended by his healing ability. Ideally he could fit into almost any army since he is so versatile, filling the place of tank, attacker, or mugician.
Defeating Maxxor:
Defeating Maxxor is a hard task, even for other Ultra rares. The key is in the attack decks, since Maxxor has generally lower energy than most ultras, and his ability to heal is not implemented into the chaotic pad as of late. The simplest strategy is to just hit him as fast and as hard as you can with power or speed challenging moves, elemental based attacks from a Blugon or Magmon also work very well since he can’t shrug those off as easily as challenging attacks. High damaging attacks such as Allmageddon, Megaroar, and Lucky shot are all great selections. Try choosing locations that work towards your advantage, but avoid using the lavaponds or Glumuck swamp since Maxxor benefits from both). In a 3v3 its better to attack Maxxor with a weaker creature, and waste all your weak attacks on it and save any strong ones, then afterwards attack with your strongest creature using the stronger attack cards you’ve saved up before hand to quickly take him out. From my many battles against a Maxxor, if you haven’t gotten him down in 3-4 turns, you’d probably end up losing.

Faced a Maxxor yesterday…before i bought 2 packs yesterday, Rellim was my most powerful card, sporting some nice stats…i blew tru his 2 first monsters, but Maxxor managed to take me out…Rellim was so close though, we spent about 2 rounds with 5 energy each, not able to attack each other :P Those 4 cards…i’m guessing you can only get them within booster packs, right?
Yah about amonth ago i faced a maxxor.I had a magmon,grook and borth-majar.my magmon had some stats better than maxxors so i used a song of treachery on magmon theniused lucky shot whichpretty much finished maxxor off.
Well…i’ve cracked the top 1500, and now i keep facing people with Maxxors and Chaors…one guy even had both Chaor and Von Blooth…no need to say i got whooped…pocketkoi, you know the ratio for these cards? 1:1000? 1:100000? How rare can it be…i see people with em everyday…
Well, you have a 1 in 24 chances of getting an ultra rare card, and there are 11 ultra rare cards (in the Dawn of Perim set) so your chances are 1:264 chances of getting one of the big four. Considering that there are probably…. 5000 active players on Chaotic, than roughly 1 in every 18 people will possibly own an ultra rare creature.
Makes sense…you own any of the big bad 4? Being at the top of the league rankings (read somewhere you were around 30), i’m guessing you need those to stay up there…I keep winning at a decent pace (thanks to very high stats on Blugon and Rellim : never faced one of those with even or higher stats…all lower), but i figure without one of the big bad 4, cracking the top 100 must be painfully hard…
I’ve owned Chaor, Bloot, and Maxxor, though I’ve traded my maxxor off since his stats were horrible… So I mostly run UW from it.
Cracking 100 is pretty hard without at least a couple good super-ultra rare cards in your deck, but I have seen people hit top 20 using mipedians, so its possible.

i got a heptadd in a starter deck as one of the rare foils.
I got a maxxor in my first starter deck, it has 65 energy, 90 courage, 75 power, 75 wisdom, and 40 speed. I just recently got some good cards to got with it, like crawsectus, which has decent stats. i also have a really really weak tangath.
I am having a hard time getting a straight answer out of any website that I visit. So here’s my question:
Can you get a Maxxor or Chaor or any of the big cards in all of the card sets? Dawn of Perim? Zenith of the Hive? Silver Sands?

P.S. - I realize that you aren’t guaranteed to get one, but is the possibility there in any of the card sets?
You can only get a card if its in a set, i.e. Its impossible to get a Chaor in Zenith and silent sands. Likewise its impossible to get an Ilexia in any set other than Zenith.
So how do you find out what is in each set? I’m a mom who knows nothing about this, but am trying to help my son. Thanks, Sheryl

As far as I know, Dawn of Perim is still being released, just not in 1st edition any longer. Presumably it will continue to be in circulation until at least next year.
Also presumably the Starter decks (they contain a starter deck and 4 random rares, one of which can be an super-ultra i.e. maxxor/chaor) will probably always around, until at least new ones are released (which is probably a very long time away). So if you cannot find any Dawn of Perim boosters, the starters (12 bucks for roughly 48 cards) is a good choice, and you can always sell/trade away the master code (the code for the entire starter set, excluding the 4 randomized cards) online.
Thanks for all you help everyone. That is a good suggestion about the starter decks. My son is autistic and doesn’t quite understand when I say I can’t get a booster pack for him. So the starter packs are a good alternative, I seem to be able to find lots of those! Thanks, Sheryl
i have a choar card and he is in mint condition and he is more powerful then maxxor but i want to get maxxor for my overworld deck and i have won alot of battles with chaor whivh pack can i get im in?

Weird…Dawn of Perim boosters have been pulled from my local store as well…I was just thinking “maybe they ran out”, but maybe there are a few store owners who believe people won’t buy Dawn of Perim anymore once Silent Sands comes out…which is a dire mistake…I won every common and uncommon, many in doubles and triples, and yet i still buy the DoPS boosters…only rares i have are from ZoTH : Chantcaller, that Danian who makes every mandiblor in your discard pile still count, and Might of the Hive attack (or something like that)…think those 3 cards would be enough to trade for a Bloot?
Ray : Maxxor is in Dawn of Perim, like all 4 Big Bad cards. I find Maxxor to be the easiest to defeat…but i’m built for speed (which Maxxor and Chaor often lack), so I don’t really know how Maxxor fares against other builds…but he’s usually rapidly disposed of by my Malvadine (55 courage - 80 power - 40 wisdom - 65 speed with sword of Kyhat = 80 speed + 5 extra damage for attacks that deal 20 or more, but that the update has rendered useless - paired with Marquis Darini :P - Kolmo finishes the trio - can’t wait for Silent Sands!)

from about 2 days i’ve played with a professional kid in chaotic called mahmoud and he also is a journalist on this web I played with maxxor and he was making fun of me as an intermidiate playing with a professional but my maxxor and heptadd had kicked his butt so when he had agitos and nauthilax and h’earring left he just retreated my point is that maxxor and heptadd are the best all you have to do is just using them right

just started collecting cards 2 days ago ive bought 4 booster packs which i think contain 9 cards any way ivegot an ultra rare card called iparu hes in an episode of chaotic anyway his stats are 25 C 35 P 30 W 30 S 1 mugic counter :[ and 45 energy but these crappy stats change right away wen somebody puts down a awsome card :]

interesting to say, comic book stores are always more expensive. I live in richmond hill ontario, canada.
there is a comic book store near my house called planet x. they sell DOP packs for $6.00. there is also a walmart near my house (Major Mackenzie) that sells DOP (Dawn of Perim) packs for $4.00. so check stores like walmart, target (if you are american), toys’r'us, most big name stores (except zellers, there chaotic packs are maybe $5.00)
