Ultra rare and ultra powerful: Maxxor

Maxxor, the OverWorld leader and one of the strongest creatures in all of Perim, sporting two elements, great stats in both courage and wisdom, and the ability to heal, he is a great ally and a feared foe. One of the more… popular creatures in Chaotic, he is nonetheless potent in defeating his opponents.

The earth and fire element are a great pair, allowing Maxxor to deal max damage with Ash torrent and Lavalanche. His superior stats in courage and wisdom allow him to strike with the strongest telekinetic bolt, not to mention other cards such as Skeletal strike or Sleepsting. He sports two mugic counters which allows him a lot of flexability mugic wise, also his own ability to heal means that you don’t need to pack that extra resurgence, freeing up your mugic hand for more offensive cards. Overall, hes one of the (if not thee) best ultra rare card out there, a jack of all trades, excelling in elements, discipline, and mugic. His only true weakness is his somewhat low energy (roughly 60, as opposed to the UW’s ultras who generally have 70+ energy), though this is mended by his healing ability. Ideally he could fit into almost any army since he is so versatile, filling the place of tank, attacker, or mugician.

 

Defeating Maxxor:

Defeating Maxxor is a hard task, even for other Ultra rares. The key is in the attack decks, since Maxxor has generally lower energy than most ultras, and his ability to heal is not implemented into the chaotic pad as of late. The simplest strategy is to just hit him as fast and as hard as you can with power or speed challenging moves, elemental based attacks from a Blugon or Magmon also work very well since he can’t shrug those off as easily as challenging attacks. High damaging attacks such as Allmageddon, Megaroar, and Lucky shot are all great selections. Try choosing locations that work towards your advantage, but avoid using the lavaponds or Glumuck swamp since Maxxor benefits from both). In a 3v3 its better to attack Maxxor with a weaker creature, and waste all your weak attacks on it and save any strong ones, then afterwards attack with your strongest creature using the stronger attack cards you’ve saved up before hand to quickly take him out. From my many battles against a Maxxor, if you haven’t gotten him down in 3-4 turns, you’d probably end up losing.
