Hi, joker13 is the screen name and the name some might recognize as Ace. To avoid the question Ace was already taken as a screen name. Now all the rage in SS is the Warbeasts, and I myself have succumb to the power of the blasted things, and so I myself have started to use them hoping to get a feel of how to beat them, but now I love using them and whail even the decks with Blazvatan, so i would like to publish my low cost Warbeast deck, that excludes Blazvatan, with the rarest card being Warbeast power leash, Indigo grove and slash claw. I got all of these out of the box (yes I have so little of a life that I save up tons of money and buy boxes) so it was easy for me to throw this together in no time, but for some it might be hard to get the power leash and what not. Any way the creatures from left to right;
Titanix with Wind Whip
Uboraan with Warbeast Power Leash
Titanix with Wind Whip
Second row has two Ranuns equipped with Ravita Flowers
Last is Xelfe with Entropy Modulator
Next is mugic which fallows, Melodic Might (you’ll see why when we get to the attacks), Fanfare of the Vanishing, Melody of Mirage, 2 gear Glissando and Switch Riff. Now, Locations, 2 Catacombs of the Conjurors, 2 Mipedim Mirage, 2 Sands of the Unseen, Crystal Cave, Indigo Grove, Mipedim Oasis and Oipont’s Lookout I would like to point out that when you use the Mipedim Mirage use it defensively so you can protect the Ranuns, because if one of them goes your warbeasts start killing them selves but even if one gets destroyed you can still push on, once I had both destroyed and still hammered the guy but back to the army. Last but probably most important is the Attacks, they are as fallows;
2 Harnessed Rage 3bp each
2 Hurlicane 0bp each
2 Shadow strike again 0bp
2 Shriek Shock once again 0 bp
2 Velocitrap more 0 bp
Sunder Ground yes more 0 bp
Tornado Tackle again 0 but don’t worry we make up for it
Evaporize 0 bp Malevolent Blast last 0 bp i promise
2 Blind Fury 1 bp each
Progressive Speed 2 bp
Paral Eyes 2 bp
Reactive Resolution 3 bp
SlashClaw 5 bp
Yes we certainly made up for all the zeros at the end, now you see why we put in a Melodic Might. Now all of this requires warbeasts with good stats so happy hunting for some good beasts. I must also add that the way I counter most of my recklessness when my conjurors get demolished is the fact all of my beasts have a very high energy. I would like to hear what you think, and would also like to say that any player who uses this will almost certainly have to make changes, this is molded to my play style so feel free to tinker with it as much as possible, also my article on the tactical disposition of the underworld is being delayed as it is taking me longer to find the right combos for the army to work like my last one did so please be patient. Oh, and please comment on every aspect you can think of, I want to improve constanly so comment any time there is a problem with the army.
What is my article that bad? LOL. Maybe this will spark a response.
I love facing Warbeast decks :) I use Mipedians myself, but only use Ere. Yes, Ere is the most common warbeast (lol was free if you played a match the first wednesday after SS came out), but his over 100 speed, air element, only 1 conjurer needed AND (most importantly) his range/swift 4 make him awesome at picking conjurers in the back. Let’s face it, most warbeast decks require 3 conjurers in the back. Especially a Blazvatan based army. Take out the conjurers (which is easy when you can get to them) and the Warbeasts will beat themselves. Blazvatan went down to my Marquis Darini :) I try to use a good mix of everything the Mipedians have to offer.
Pro : I can adapt to many strategies
Con : I’m like a Jack of all Trades…decent with all, master of none.
When 10 vs 10 comes out, it’s gonna be FUUUN! It will finally let people use every possible strategy Tribes have to offer!
i really like your article too, you just havn’t written
many posts. I would use this deck, except i don’t
have Warbeast power leash and my mepidian mujic sucks
( which is really annoying, because i really like mepidians).
It’s amazing
