Now i know what your thinking… either “hey! Occasus was talking about this!” or “Am I on a blackjack blog?!”
Now this is still CInsider!
Anyway Occasus mentioned something about this in his recent blog post. Card counting is when you use numbers and math to figure out the chance of the card in the deck being high, medium or low damaging cards. Now his system required some hardcore memory and simple match skills, and I know not everyone on chaotic is old enough to remember everything AND if you mess up it could cost you the match! So building upon this I made a far simpler card counting system.
Lets say that each card had a numerical value. Oh wait they do! Their Build Points! But we need negative numbers instead. So I have a simple coversion table for you guys. Keep in mind all you have to remember is that 1BP=0. But heres the whole thing any way.
0BP=1, 1BP=0, 2BP=-1, 3BP=-2, 4BP=-3, 5BP=-4 and so on.
So no try this take any properly built attack deck, this works with any attack deck, just remember that decks with a lower total BP means that the heat will be higher., but it works best with a fully slated 20BP deck. Which chances are that your opponent has one. Flip the first card. Remember the BP number and what it equals. flip through the entire deck while keeping track of the “temperature of the deck” or the values that we a using instead of the BP. This is a good way to practice.
If at any time the BP is higher than 0 this means that the deck will still have some high BP cards inside it and you should save your melody of mirage for later. If the number is below 0 this means that the deck has some 0 BP cards inside and you shouldn’t have to worry about larger attacks as much. If the “heat” is at -16, which is the lowest it can go, you can expect a whole bunch of 0BP. if the heat is -17 or lower, check your math then declare a cheat.
